Argentine judoka Paula Pareto, a gold medalist in Rio 2016 and Beijing 2008, could not repeat the success in Tokyo 2020. The 35-year-old athlete decided to compete despite an injury and was left out of the current Olympic Games, thus marking his retirement from the sport that gave him so many joys.
Pareto had an emotional farewell at the Olympic Village by the Argentine delegation.
