Dor Peretz's European career is underway. The midfielder, who ended his contract with Maccabi Tel Aviv and was debating whether to continue with the Yellows, signed for three years with Venice, the newcomer to Serie A. As part of his contract with the Italian team, Peretz will earn 875,000 euros in the first year, 1 million euros in the second year and 1.1 million euros in the third year. Peretz, who underwent medical tests earlier and experienced a great personal season in the Maccabi Tel Aviv uniform, will be the third Israeli in the senior Italian league after Tal Benin (Brescia) and Eran Zehavi (Palermo) before him.

Peretz, 26, grew up in Maccabi Tel Aviv and apart from half the loan season at Hapoel Haifa (in the 2017/18 season), he played there all his life.

He was promoted to the senior team in the summer of 2014 and made his league debut in October of that year, when he came in as a substitute in the 1: 3 victory over Maccabi Haifa.



After returning from a loan spell at Hapoel Haifa in the summer of 2018, Peretz became an important screw in the team and the season culminated with 7 league goals and 2 more in the cup - while becoming the best player of the Yellows.

At the same time, the contact became an almost regular player in the Israeli national team, in which he has so far accumulated 20 appearances.

He won three championships, the state cup and four toto cups with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Venice finished last season in fifth place in the Italian sub-league, but qualified for Serie A after overtaking Kiev, Lecce and Chitadella in the playoffs.
