On this morning of autumn 1987, Patrick Fontanaud, general practitioner at La Couronne, in the suburbs of Angoulême, almost fainted when he found his patient: Jean-Pierre Bély was running like a rabbit or almost.
“A few days after his pilgrimage to Lourdes, he landed like that, on his two legs, in the office”, still hallucinates the doctor who, at 68, still holds the stethoscope.
During the previous appointment, the patient he had consulted was condemned to move around in a wheelchair, tortured by multiple sclerosis.
