The most expensive acquisition in the club's history: Maccabi Haifa has signed Franzi Piero
After courtship that lasted several weeks, the deal was completed.
The 27-year-old striker moved from Gangan for 1.6 million euros on a three-year contract with an option for another season.
He will join Dean David, Nikita Rokavitsia and Ben Shehar at the front and will join Daniel Sundgren and Pierre Corno who signed earlier today

Striker Franzdi Piero signed tonight (Friday) with Maccabi Haifa and became the most valuable purchasing player in its history.
The Israeli champion courted the 27-year-old player in the game for a long time and finally reached an agreement with him and his previous team Gangan, who will receive 1.6 million euros for him.
He landed in Israel this morning, passed the medical tests successfully and signed for three years with an option to extend the contract for another season.
After the signing, he told the official website: "I am happy to sign for a big club like Maccabi Haifa with great ambitions. I am very excited to open a new chapter in my life, with these wonderful fans and this amazing stadium. I am already waiting to get on the grass."
The club's professional manager, Gal Alberman, added: "We are delighted that Frenzy Piero has joined. Frenzy will add quality, physicality and leadership to the team. We wish him a quick acclimatization, happy moments and of course many goals. Welcome to your new and green home Frenzy Piero."

The 27-year-old player of the Haitian national team, scored 15 goals in the French sub-league last season.
He has played for Gangan for the past two and a half years and his current contract is set to expire in the summer of 2023. Prior to Gangan, he spent a season and a half at the Belgian Moscaron and scored 9 goals in all competitions.
Piero was born in Haiti, but grew up in the U.S., holds dual citizenship, also played high school basketball and spent in the college football league until age 22. The Colorado Rapids selected him in the 2018 draft, but he did not win media coverage and in the summer of that year signed with Moscaron
