The nest became a death trap: a snake hunted the female cup that nested in the mountains of Jerusalem

A coyote-rattlesnake, resembling a viper but not venomous to a human, located a nest of a cup of ruins (a raptor) and hunted the nesting female, leaving the male helpless.

The large prey will allow the snake, which is also its breeding season, not to eat for long, even weeks

The nest of the cup became a death trap for him.

These are the days when snakes start coming out after their winter hibernation, and they are hungrier than ever.

Photographer Dudu Orr documented a hunting of the cup of ruins (a night raptor) by a rattlesnake and a species of rage, probably female, in a white ridge in the Jerusalem mountains.

The glass is a raptor from the owl family that feeds on arthropods, mollusks and even small mammals.

It nests in holes and burrows dug in the ground.

In this case I would be unlucky, and the accessible nest became a death trap for the individual who was inside the nest.

After prey, the snake does not have to eat for two weeks

The copper snake, which is also in the breeding season, located the nest and preyed on the nesting individual.

The large prey allows the snake not to eat for a long period of time of several days to weeks.

She can now step aside, lay eggs and incubate them for about two weeks without having to locate food.

The coin toss is a fairly common snake, and the coin pattern of its back is somewhat reminiscent of the venomous and dangerous viper to man.

The rage got its name because of its stormy temperament: when approached and it feels threatened, it exhales and even raises its front body parts to deter the attacker.

The rage may also bite, though not venomous to a person.

Its venomous teeth are located in the back of the jaw.

The coin toss is also known to prey on rodents and other snakes, including vipers.
