In the Penzberg districts of Reindl and Untermaxkron, there will be extensive civil engineering work from the end of August.

In the next almost one and a half years, sewer and drinking water pipes will be renewed along the main road and in side roads over a length of 1.3 kilometers.

Penzberg – The state road and the side roads “Auf der Etz”, Unterfeldstraße and Buchenstraße in Reindl are affected by the work on the sewer and water pipes.

At the same time, gaps in broadband coverage are closed, and other residential areas can then be connected to the fiber optic network.

During this time, traffic will be partially guided past the construction site in one lane using traffic lights.

But there are also full closures.

This was announced by the Penzberger Stadtwerke.

According to your information, the investment amounts to around 4.5 million euros.

At the same time, the city is investing around half a million euros in road construction work on the street "Auf der Etz" and Unterfeldstrasse.

Construction work should start at the end of August - first on the state road in Maxkron

Construction work is scheduled to start at the end of August on the state road in the area of ​​the wastewater pumping station in Untermaxkron.

From there, the construction site moves along the state road in the direction of Reindl and into the side streets.

The aim is to complete all construction work by the end of 2024, according to the municipal utility.

According to them, there may be a temporary half-way closure during the construction work on the state road.

It will be possible to drive through in both directions, with traffic likely to be regulated by traffic lights.

According to the municipal utility, a full night-time closure of the state road will be necessary next year between the eastern development boundary of Reindl and the junction with "Auf der Etz" due to traffic safety guidelines.

The construction work in the area would be carried out at night.

During the day, traffic is guided past the construction site, which is then at rest, by blocking the road on one side.

"Wandering complete closure" in side streets of the Reindl district

In the narrow side streets "Auf der Etz", Unterfeldstrasse and Buchenstrasse, there will probably be a "wandering full closure" according to the municipal works.

This means that it is only valid in the current construction area.

Depending on its location, access to the affected property will be temporarily impossible or only possible to a limited extent, according to the municipal company.

New channel will be significantly larger

The Stadtwerke explained that the reason for the extensive civil engineering work was that the mixed water main sewer along the state road was being renewed over a distance of 400 metres.

The dimension of the new canal will be "significantly increased and the hydraulic performance significantly improved".

In addition, a new 200 meter long storage sewer with a diameter of around 2.5 meters is being built between the entrance to Untermaxkron and the sewage pumping station.

It serves to hold back the water in heavy rain.

Compared to the current situation, the frequency of overflow will be significantly lower in the future.

"On the Etz", in the Buchenstrasse and in the Unterfeldstrasse, the public utility company says it is renewing damaged sewage and rainwater sewers.

The Stadtwerke recommend that residents affected by full closures park their cars outside the closed areas and provide garbage cans and garbage bags at the respective ends of the full closures for collection.

Some of the construction site equipment will be placed in the parking bay diagonally opposite the sewage pumping station, so some of the parking spaces will not be available.
