In the shadow of the rise in morbidity in recent weeks, geriatric hospitals have asked the Ministry of Health to provide them with gloves in large sizes, as the gloves provided to them are small and unsuitable.

In response, the ministry claimed that there is a shortage of gloves all over the country and they do not have a suitable measure to supply them.

"Recently, there has been a severe shortage of gloves," the Ministry of Health's logistics department claimed. "The gloves we have left in stock are only S and M." The

Ministry of Health explained that they are aware of the seriousness of the situation and are working to resolve it. Answer: "We do not come to the institution to change the gloves, nor do we have any other measure to supply," they wrote in the office's cancellation, adding that "you can decide not to provide you with gloves at all if the existing size is not needed."

Nursing homes function as geriatric hospitals for all intents and purposes, with medical staff in need of protection for its staff and patients.

But while there is no shortage of general hospitals, nursing homes are forced to work in harsh conditions.

Yuli Gat, chairwoman of the nursing home organization, stressed that nursing homes deserve the same treatment as hospitals. “The doctors, nurses and all the staff caring for nursing homes and geriatric wards are good and professional caregivers - just like the staff at the hospitals.

Therefore, the state is expected to treat them equally and in no way as second-class teams. "

"There is no room for discrimination."

"It's not just the matter of gloves, it's also true of the issue of the outline of vaccines for Corona that is being formed these days," she emphasizes.

"There must be one decision because there is one identity of professionals here, and there is no room for discrimination. Especially that geriatric hospitals are considered hospitals by law for all intents and purposes. It is not possible for the Ministry of Health to conduct nursing home inspections as if they were hospitals. And budgets will treat nursing homes as if they were not hospitals, "Gat stated.
