The Observatory issued an amber rainstorm warning signal at 10:05 am today (29th), indicating that heavy rain with an hourly rainfall exceeding 30 mm has been recorded or expected in a wide area of Hong Kong. More than 2 hours after the yellow rain took effect, the Observatory was at 12 noon. The yellow rainstorm warning signal was cancelled at 15 o'clock.

The Observatory said that high-altitude disturbances will bring showers and thunderstorms in the next two to three days.
It is expected that later this week, high-altitude anticyclones will cover southern China and showers will decrease; at the same time, a broad trough of low pressure will affect the central and northern parts of the South China Sea.
According to the Observatory’s nine-day weather forecast, there will be showers in the next nine days. The highest temperature in the urban area fluctuates between 30 and 32 degrees Celsius, and the lowest is 26 degrees. The temperature for nine days has little change.
However, in the next 3 days, Monday to Wednesday, there will be thunderstorms in some areas. Among them, Wednesday is the school day. The day is generally cloudy with occasional showers and thunderstorms in some areas. Students should pay attention to the weather before going out.
