The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs renewed its call on the international community to intervene urgently to stop the continuous Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, which amounts to war crimes and crimes against humanity for which international law is held accountable.
In a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, the Foreign Ministry stressed that the international community is required to hold the occupying authorities accountable for their grave violations of international law, especially as they take formal international positions rejecting settlements, which are not translated into practical steps as a cover to persist in Judaizing and annexing occupied Jerusalem and destroying any possibility of establishing a state. Palestinian sovereignty with Jerusalem as its capital.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the escalation of the occupation forces and settlers’ attacks on the residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, to displace them from it, in view of the eyes and ears of the whole world. He turned it as a prelude to seizing it, in the context of implementing the occupation's plans to Judaize the entire neighborhood, while the international community is satisfied with expressions of condemnation that do not translate into actual movement on the ground.
