The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: The silence of the international community on the settlement crime is complicity

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its assertion that the international community’s silence regarding the settlement crime is complicity and participation in it, indicating that it gives it the necessary time and cover required to turn it into a fait accompli that is difficult to undo.

The Foreign Ministry stated in a statement today, carried by Wafa Agency, that the Israeli occupation is expanding settlement operations in the West Bank to implement colonial annexation plans and eliminate any opportunity to establish an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that the states' sufficiency in some formal condemnation of settlement-building without translating them into effective measures capable of compelling the occupation to stop its settlement expansion in the land of Palestine, in essence, reflects the international collusion with settlement and the international community's abandonment of its legal and moral responsibilities towards this heinous crime.
