By continuing to publish alarmist figures, without putting into perspective and decorrelated from the results of other departments, the ARS (Pays de la Loire) continues to stigmatize Mayenne even more in the eyes of the French and our European neighbors. As evidenced by the recent decision of Belgium which places our department in the red list , ”lamented Olivier Richefou (UDI), while specifying“ not at all blaming the Belgians ”but“ blaming the ARS ”.

"We manage to control the health situation"

According to him, “ the ARS suggests that the situation in Mayenne would be uncontrolled, whereas on the contrary all the health measures, in particular those concerning the wearing of the mask, are taken, respected and applied scrupulously by the population. "

He believes that the evolution of the figures for a week shows that " we manage to control the health situation ". In addition, he stresses that " Mayenne has no person in intensive care and that the number of deaths has remained stable since the start of the crisis and well below the national average ".

Since Monday, the mask has been mandatory in all public places in 69 municipalities in Mayenne, a department where the indicators " confirm the active circulation of the virus ", according to a decision by the prefecture of Mayenne. Several new outbreaks of Covid-19 were identified last week in the department, mainly affecting businesses and vulnerable or precarious people in social or medico-social structures.
