It's been an eventful year for Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, the American film star and former wrestler.

His father died in January, and Covid came later.

The virus hit not only Johnson himself, but also his wife and the couple's two- and four-year-old daughters.

It was a "hard time", said the 48-year-old recently in an emotional video on Instagram.

Now Johnson turned to his fans again - and announced a premiere: For the first time he wanted to support a presidential candidate.

On November 3, he will elect the Democrat Joe Biden, who wants to go to the White House together with Vice Kamala Harris.

A seven-minute clip on Youtube shows Johnson in video chat with Biden and Harris.

Thereby one assures each other great sympathy.

"Joe, you have such an incredible career," charmed Johnson towards Biden.

"You led with great passion, with heart, with verve, with soul."

Biden was Vice President under Barack Obama.

Addressed to lawyer Harris, Johnson says she is "clever and tough," a "tough guy."

She, in turn, confesses that she is a big fan of the actor's work, appreciating his role in the film "Jumanji" and in the series "The Fast & the Furious".

Johnson wants to know how Biden and Harris will earn American respect if they win an election.

Biden: "By saying what we want to do. By keeping our word."

Harris adds, "You get and you give trust. And one of the foundations of trust is truth."

Trust, tell the truth, be honest.

It should mean: be different from Donald Trump.

Message arrived.
