"Virgine Efira is the kind of woman who lives and loves herself blonde," says David Martin, colorist at the Maison de Coiffure in Paris and who has been taking care of the actress's hair color for more than ten years.
“She has naturally ash blonde hair, but I changed her coloring according to her roles to adapt it to the characters she had to interpret, playing with variations: sometimes honey, or golden, or even paler”.

Virginie Efira's professional requirements are not the only criteria taken into account to customize her shade.
“It is defined in relation to the color of the skin and that of the eyes”, specifies in particular David Martin.
According to him, the coloring also matches the seasons.
"In summer, we are more tanned, the light is different", so he recommends a shade "much paler and brighter".
While in winter, "this very light shade will no longer look as good on the complexion" so warmer "undertones" are to be preferred.

Deep care
On a daily basis, the expert recommends the actress to use mild shampoos, specially formulated for dry or colored hair and to avoid products with silicones and sulphates.
“Afterwards, always apply a mask or conditioner so that the hair is well nourished.
This is the number one rule for having great hair and great color.
Hydration and care are essential,” insists David Martin.
Her best advice for keeping fibers soft despite repeated coloring?
Do an in-depth treatment at home at least once a week: “Apply hair oil to all lengths, either one hour before shampooing, or the night before, leaving it on overnight”.

To neutralize undesirable yellow reflections, the colorist advises to “mix a little yellowing purple care with your shampoo” and to use “repigmenting” hair care or tinted masks from time to time to “reboost the sweep a little”.
Anti-pollution secret
As Virginie Efira lives in Paris, the colorist gave her a very simple trick to prevent her color from fading under the effect of pollution "which tends to dull the hair and "turn off" the color".
