The value of the sales of the General Company for the manufacture of shoes exceeded 7 billion pounds during the first nine months of this year, with those responsible for it estimating the value of profits at one billion pounds and promises of better results by the end of the year.
According to its director, Sherif Al-Hassan, the company produced 235,000 pairs, worth 6 billion pounds, while its sales amounted to 240,000 pairs, with a value of more than 7 billion pounds, since the beginning of this year until the end of last September, while the company's stocks reached 27,000 pairs, worth more than one billion pounds, and they are marketed to the contracting authorities. with the company.
Al-Hassan estimated the company’s profits at one billion Syrian pounds, stressing that it is on a date with new figures and better work results by the end of the year, indicating that the cadres are currently working on reassembling and repairing many machines in the Nabek shoe factory and putting them in service to reach a final product in this factory.
Al-Hassan pointed to the work to create sales halls for the company, in addition to the Bab Touma hall in Damascus, Sweida, and Daraa, and to equip halls in all governorates, in addition to participating in exhibitions and festivals that are held, the latest of which is the second Tartous Summer Festival, with the aim of introducing the company’s products and their technical and technical specifications, made of natural leather and of various types and models.
Al-Hassan stated that the company amended the incentive system for the first time in a long time, in addition to including workers with comprehensive health insurance, transportation insurance, and others.
