The squatters of Théoule-sur-Mer have finally emptied the premises.
The father was even placed in police custody in Mandelieu, in the Alpes-Maritimes on Monday evening.
But it was not an expulsion order that made it possible to obtain the departure of this family which, with two children, had taken up residence for three weeks with a retired couple: it was only by favor of 'an argument that the gendarmes were able to arrest the husband, for domestic violence.
"The gendarmerie evacuated their belongings and took back the keys
," says the mayor of Théoule, Georges Botella.
The wife was taken to Nice, to a home for battered women, with her children.
But I am still obliged to mobilize gendarmes to protect the house: other squatters could come… Yes, we are among the crazy people! ”
