The World Cycling Union announced tonight (Monday) that the Israeli start-up group was involved in a large and extensive operation to smuggle 165 people from Afghanistan, which is under Taliban rule, including many cyclists.
It is further reported that the operation was conducted in full cooperation with the owner of the cycling group, Sylvan Adams, who was primarily responsible for liaising with the Israeli and Swiss governments requesting assistance in obtaining political asylum for the Afghan refugees.
It should be noted that some of the refugees found state refuge in Switzerland where they were welcomed by government authorities.
It is also reported that the representatives of the Startup Nation group assisted many riders, who tried to find refuge in Kabul after the American forces left the country.
