A 57-year-old man from Tonga has been hailed as a true "Aquaman" for surviving 27 hours at sea after the devastating tsunami hit his island on Saturday.

According to an interview published in Reuters, the man said he dove nine times before grabbing onto a log and pulling himself to safety until he reached another island.
