The United States has recorded a new record of coronavirus infections during the past twenty-four hours, surpassing for the first time the threshold of 90,000 new infections, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University of America.
The country that has witnessed an escalation in the number of HIV infections since the middle of this month has counted 90,290 new infections, while 1,021 people have died during the past two days, according to university data.
The United States, which is the most affected in the world in terms of the number of deaths from the virus, has recorded a total of 228,625 deaths and about nine million infections since the start of the Covid 19 pandemic.
