According to a White House official, as of December 6, all travelers from abroad, whether vaccinated or not, must
present a negative COVID-19 test that has been taken 24 hours before boarding the flight.

Initially, one made in the three days before or 72 hours before the trip was required for those who had received the vaccine, and 24 hours for those who had not.

A Minnesota man is the second confirmed case, and on Thursday New York State Governor Kathy Hochul reported five others there.
"While this new variant is reason to be concerned, it is not a reason to panic," Biden said at a press conference.
Initially, bans had been established for tourists from eight countries in southern Africa, where the strain was first reported.
The measures announced on November 26 included Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe.
