The Syrian Virtual University has completed its preparations in preparation for the opening of a center for continuous learning and training with modern model specifications next Tuesday, with the aim of preparing and qualifying professional cadres in various professional fields that keep pace with the requirements of the labor market and meet the practical needs of the social and economic sectors of vital importance.

The center, located in the Kafr Sousa area of ​​Damascus, which is one of the components of the “lifelong learning” center in the virtual university, offers a program for continuous learning and training, directly and at a distance, consisting of training “axes” courses that include the fields of communications, networks, programming, technical engineering, economics, management, media, digital blogging, tourism, archeology and affairs. Legal, social, humanitarian, educational, health, and languages, in addition to training on distance education methods.

During an introductory tour organized by the Virtual University today for media professionals at the center under the title “Media Day in the Lifelong Learning Space,” the President of the University, Dr. Khalil Ajami, confirmed that the Virtual University has an integrated vision for the concept of “lifelong learning” that starts from nurturing young and young talents through providing the necessary To enrich the skills of the university’s young generation, in order to nurture graduates and facilitate their entry into the profession.

In turn, the head of the Supervisory Committee of the Center, Dr. Zain Junaidi, said in a statement to reporters that the center adopts training curricula in business management related to small and emerging companies and projects working in the field of digital knowledge economy and project management of a technical software nature, media and digital content, as well as in the field of laws and legislation with a focus on knowledge And skills related to electronic legislation, the tourism industry, hotel training, engineering and construction systems.

Saya Google, director of the Center for Lifelong Learning at the Virtual University, made it clear in a similar statement that each “axis” course will have a set of training courses that will be announced successively, and the mechanism for each of them will be explained and clarified.

In turn, Dr. Yasar Brik, Director of Public Relations and Cultural Exchange at the Virtual University, indicated that the opening of the center in Damascus is a first step for opening similar centers in governorates such as “Homs, Aleppo and Latakia,” so that each center covers several neighboring governorates to provide training directly and remotely.

From Lebanon, Emile Abboud, director of the company executing the training, “Easyr”, pointed out that the technical and logistical requirements for direct practical training and distance training have been provided, and that the center is ready to receive the trainees during the coming period after the standard training components and supplies are completed at various levels.

A number of training supervisors in the courses designated for media professionals reviewed the content of the training programs in each axis, their objectives, their usefulness and their reflection on the labor market.

It is noteworthy that the Virtual University is an accredited public university that was established in 2002 and includes several disciplines such as information engineering, media, information and communication technology, law, and economics, and it works to provide a modern education, training and research system in the academic and professional fields.
