NUORO - Glatz who talks about the absence of Pasolini, Antonio Canova, Banksy and painting between the 19th and 20th centuries: these are some of the exhibitions scheduled for this week.

NUORO - In the spaces of the MAN from 8 July to 30 October the exhibition "Sensorama. The look, the things, the deceptions", curated by Chiara Gatti and Tiziana Cipelletti.

The path, which explores the relationship between Vision and Perception and the complexity of cognitive phenomena, ranges from the experiments of Georges Méliès to the paintings of René Magritte and Giorgio de Chirico, from the mirror photographs of Florence Henri to the enveloping and disturbing environments of Peter Kogler or Marina Apollonio.


    PERUGIA - "At the time of Canova. An Umbrian itinerary" is the exhibition that winds between Palazzo Baldeschi and the MUSA, Museum of the Academy of Fine Arts: scheduled from 6 July to 1 November and curated by Stefania Petrillo, the exhibition it focuses on the nucleus of Canovian plasters preserved at MUSA - including The Three Graces, donated by the sculptor himself in 1822 - and enhances the artistic and cultural context within which these works were inserted.


    UDINE - From 8 July to 18 September at the Church of San Francesco the history of Italian and international street art is told in the exhibition "Banksy & Friends" through the dialogue between the mysterious English artist and influential Italian artists of the moment such as Mr. Brainwash, TvBoy, Jago, Andrea Ravo Mattoni and Pau.

Curated by Pietro Quattriglia Venneri, the itinerary presents over 40 works from the collection owned by the Pop House Gallery.


    ROME - "Reflecting Pasolini" is the exhibition by Ruediger Glatz hosted at Palazzo delle Esposizioni from 8 July to 4 September, curated by Alessio de'Navasques.

The exhibition brings together over 60 black and white photographs dedicated to the great intellectual, in which Glatz documented the strength of absence in the performance Embodying Pasolini, presented in June 2021 in the spaces of the Mattatoio in Rome, with the performer and actress Tilda Swinton and Olivier Saillard, curator and historian of fashion (and the costumes of Danilo Donati).


    Places of the soul and figurative pretexts in works flooded with light: at Palazzo Merulana from 10 July to 7 August "the air of Rome", a solo show by Antonio Finelli.

Along the way, works that seek metaphysical and contemporary Rome with a particular focus on the territory of the First Municipality of Rome Center, Esquilino and Piazza Vittorio.

At the Casa del Cinema from 4 July to 4 September "Tognazzi Pasolini 100", a solo show by Luisa Mazzone who pays homage to the two artists through the display of pictorial tables of some films translated into 32 suggestive illustrations.

The drawings are taken from the publications "Pasolini Il Cinema in 20 tables", promoted by the Mic for the 40th anniversary of Pasolini's death (NedEdizioni 2015) and "Ugo Tognazzi History, style and secrets of a great actor",

realized in 2018 to accompany the review that Moma in New York dedicated to Tognazzi.

At the Slaughterhouse until 4 September "Sediments. After Memory" by Victor Fotso Nyie, Muna Mussie, Las Nietas de Nonó, Christian Offman, curated by Johanne Affricot and Eric Otieno Sumba.

Following the concepts of hindered revolutions, postcolonial subjectivities, empty consumerism and precarious citizenship, the exhibition reflects on our times and through the artists creates a bridge between Cameroon, Eritrea, Italy, Puerto Rico and Rwanda.


    LECCO - Palazzo delle Paure and Villa Manzoni, home to the civic museums, host the exhibition "Poetics. Daily and imaginary in Italian art between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries" from 1 July to 20 November, curated by Simona Bartolena.

In the course more than 90 works by authors who have been interested in the social question, the theme of everyday life and the symbolist imagery, such as Giovanni Segantini, Angelo Morbelli, Emilio Longoni, Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo and others.


    MODENA - At the San Paolo Complex from 6 July to 18 September the collective exhibition "Daughters of Fire" with works by Enrica Berselli, Alice Padovani, Federica Poletti.

Curated by Barbara Codogno, the exhibition consists of wax sculptures by Enrica Berselli, three large works in mixed media on paper by Alice Padovani,

and the paintings of Federica Poletti.
