The World Equestrian Championships opened today (Wednesday) with great success for the Israeli team, with Daniel Bluman ranked eighth and the team 13th.
Blumen, together with Valderiano Z, finished the first day in eighth place, 1.14 points away from the leader.
Ashley Bond and Caroline of Balmore are 3.22 points off the leader, and Robyn Mohr and Stavita PS are 7.9 points off the leader.
At the end of the opening day, Israel is ranked 13th out of 22 teams with 12.26 points, which means less than a drop from seventh place.
Sweden leads with only 3.69 mandatory points.
The group stage will begin tomorrow (Thursday), with the ten best teams advancing to the finals on Friday.
