The moment of truth is approaching.
Israel's young national team held its final training session tonight (Thursday) in preparation for tomorrow's match against Ireland, in the playoffs for promotion to the European Championship.
"We come to the game prepared. The weather is great, the pitch is good and we are already waiting to get started," said goalkeeper Daniel Peretz, who added: "It is a great pride to represent the team in such an important game. The game against Ireland is the most important game the team has had in all of the past years."
Peretz added: "We are very alert. We saw Ireland, they are a physical and aggressive team, but we are coming to do things the way we know, and we are ready for them. Their advantage is of course the home game, but on Tuesday in Israel I am sure all our fans will come and cheer us on and it will be are good".
In the meantime, the brakeman Gil Cohen is not feeling well today, but the team is convinced that he will be able to be at coach Guy Luzon's disposal tomorrow.
