They survived the Holocaust, but perished in the fire;

In the moshav, they set up a cute corner in their memory

In the early years of Moshav Yesodot, the women labored over a meal for the pioneers in the fields.

Among them were also three girls who survived the Holocaust, but while cooking a dress of one of them caught fire, and liquids spilled to put it out turned out to be oil that caused a large fire.

All three perished and a beautiful grove was established in their memory in the moshav

The members of the moshav wanted to preserve the story of the three perished.

In 1953, Moshav Yesodot in the Nahal Sorek Regional Council was still in its infancy - a small agricultural moshav established five years earlier (1948), by ultra-Orthodox Holocaust survivors who came from Germany, France, the Netherlands and Hungary.

The name of the moshav is derived from a verse in the book of Yeshai: "And I will

put my words in your mouth and in the shadow of your chastity to plant heaven and the foundation of the earth and to say to you,

'

You are my people

'"

Today, there are quite a few farmers in the settlement who are engaged in field crops, orchards and orchards, a cowshed and industry.

But once upon a time, at the beginning of the moshav's journey, the pioneers who survived the Holocaust worked hard to make a living in addition to Torah study.

That same year, the women labored in the common kitchen of the young moshav, for a meal for the pioneers who worked the lands of the area day and night.

Among the women were also three girls -

Tzipora Rennert, Rivka Tanzer and Sara Yoskowitz

- who survived the horrors of the Holocaust and managed to immigrate to Israel, alone, units from their family.

"And the triple wire will not soon be cut off"

While the three were working on the meal, one of them's dress was set on fire by Primus (a kind of portable stove on which they cooked), and they cried for help.

One of the members of the seat heard the cries and hurriedly poured a bucket full of liquids that was standing next to them, in order to put out the fire.

Unfortunately, the liquids turned out to be oil and the kitchen became a death trap for the young women killed in the severe fire.

The tragic story of the girls was not forgotten by the founders of the moshav, and for decades they sought to remember and preserve their story.

In 2018, the council established a lovely corner in Moshav for rest and gathering to commemorate the three women and for the families of the moshav and travelers in the area.

On the sign placed at the place is written a verse from Ecclesiastes: "And the

triangular wire will not soon be cut off

."

The garden is located in the center of the moshav behind the Beit Hanna club.
