At 10:30 a.m. today (26th), a low-rise unit in King Fai Building, 64-68 Pok Fu Lam Road, Western District caught fire. Flames burst out of the window, the flames were blazing, and a large amount of smoke was emitted. The exterior walls of the multi-storey unit were blackened. Many people witnessed and reported the case, among which the resident of the unit that caught fire pointed out that there was no one in the unit.
The firefighters arrived at the scene, dispatched a team of one throat and one smoke to sprinkling water into the unit, and extinguished the fire at 10:53.
More than 50 people in the fire had to be evacuated. A female house, her pair of young children and a maid were unwell and were sent to the hospital for treatment. Among them, a boy in pajamas walked into the ambulance and waved to the media and said, "Mama, I am Go on TV!" The girl was wearing a school uniform and was taking an online lesson when the fire broke out.

Dozens of residents waited downstairs after being evacuated. Most of them carried handbags and backpacks, and some people rushed to escape in pajamas.
Mr. Wu, a resident on the 9th floor of King Fai Building, said, "I smelled a great array of 𤓓" and found white smoke outside the window. After a while, black smoke wafted up, and he heard the sound of objects peeling off and falling to the ground. The building then sounded a fire alarm.
He immediately escaped, but saw that the stairs "smoke up the hill", the lift just opened the door, and he took the 𨋢 to leave.
Affected by the fire, the entire line of Pok Fu Lam Road between Mountain Road and Queen's Road West was closed for a time, resulting in heavy traffic.
