Verdi calls for a nationwide collective bargaining agreement for around 87,000 employees in local public transport (ÖPNV).
According to Verdi, however, employers have so far rejected this.
"The situation is serious, the

a clear signal to employers to start negotiations," said Bavaria's Verdi division manager Kai Winkler.
Negotiations are currently underway in all 16 federal states about the respective collective agreements in local public transport.
