Belaïli did good in Brest

Expected as a starter, Youcef Belaïli finally came into play at the break.

And it is an understatement to point out that he has done a lot of good for the Brest game.

Replacing Pereira Lage on the left flank, the Algerian international brought his force of percussion.

At the origin of some good sequences, he notably encouraged Clauss to be more careful.

It's not surprising that the former Lensois was less visible after the break.

The nice goal of Lees-Melou

Arrived this summer, Pierre Lees-Melou has already stood out with a sumptuous goal.

On a corner badly cleared by OM, the former Nice player fired a superb volley which left Ruben Blanco, OM goalkeeper, on the spot.

An important goal which revived his team well, especially as it was interesting in the midfield, with a lot of balls recovered.

At OM, the wings are busy

Nuno Tavares on the left, Jonathan Clauss on the right: the two new pistons of OM look great.

It was from them that the light came on the Marseille side with a cross from the former Lensois for the other newcomer, skilful to conclude and score his 2nd goal in 2 Ligue 1 matches. The two men take advantage of this system in 3-4-2-1 to be very daring on their wings and bring the surplus.

Impactful, they are the satisfactions of this start to the season for the Olympian club, even if they fell off the ground in the second half.

Alexis Sanchez, a first and promises

Entering the game at the break in place of Cengiz Under, Alexis Sanchez made his debut at OM this Sunday evening.

And the Chilean has already shown some bits of his immense talent.

In legs, he was very available on the whole front of the attack with interesting races and rather clean relays.

Not yet 100% physically, however, it deserves to be reviewed in other conditions.

FLOPS

Milik, still disappointing

With Bakambu's poor form, the possible departure of Bamba Dieng and the still recent arrivals of Luis Suarez and Alexis Sanchez, Arkadiusz Milik was still lined up at the forefront of OM's attack.

Except that the Pole missed his match.

Touching few balls as often, he was not useful to his team and even almost penalized them when, already warned, he came close to expulsion for another fault.

Logically released before the end, he still lost points.

An OM still perfectible and in the running-in phase

The match against Reims had already been inconsistent and the one in Brest is confirmation: OM still have to settle.

Interesting at times, Marseille lacks continuity in their game and that's quite logical.

Igor Tudor still has to wait before printing his leg in a 3-4-2-1 different from the system used by his predecessor Jorge Sampaoli.

Above all, he must make sure to get his players to join, when he dismissed Payet, a usual manager, for the second time at the start.
