The new Netflix documentary "Trainwreck Woodstock '99" (in German: "Absolutes Fiasko: Woodstock '99") convinces with original footage.

Music and peace were at the heart of Woodstock 1969 - very different from the Woodstock Music Festival 1999: fires, riots and vanity for destruction shape the memories of numerous visitors, who appear in original film recordings and interviews in the three-part documentary "Trainwreck Woodstock '99" or on English "Absolute Fiasco: Woodstock '99" on Netflix.

According to the streaming service, viewers should be prepared for three days of complete chaos.

According to Filmpluskritik.com

, the Netflix documentary "Trainwreck Woodstock '99" or "Absolute Fiasco: Woodstock '99" shows

what happens when a crowd gets out of control: anarchy, chaos and destruction.

According to critics, the three-part documentary focuses on the original video recordings, which show the full extent of the vandalism, arson, sexism and drug use on site.

Those responsible, such as producers or artists, are still unaware of their guilt for what happened at the Woodstock '99 music festival.

Why did many become rapists and arsonists at the Woodstock '99 music festival?

In the Netflix documentary "Trainwreck Woodstock '99" or "Absolute Fiasco: Woodstock '99", seemingly peaceful, music-loving visitors to the festival, which was intended to pay homage to Woodstock in 1969, become violent criminals, rioters, arsonists and rapists.

According to a report in the

Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ)

, the head of organization at the time, Michael Lang, who has since died, showed little insight and admission of guilt in one of his last interviews.

Likewise, musicians such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers did not contribute to the de-escalation by playing "Fire" by Jimi Hendrix when the first fires had already started, as the SZ reported.
