Triathlon: Xavier Jourson, ex-rugbyman, wants to become the first black man to complete the Norseman

Former professional rugby player, the Lyonnais Xavier Jourson participates this Saturday August 6 in the Norseman, the triathlon reputed to be the toughest in the world.

The triathlon, of course, is the sequence of three disciplines: swimming, cycling and running.

On the Norseman, in Eidfjord in Norway, it's downright daunting: 4 km of swimming in freezing water (13°C) from 5 a.m., 180 km of cycling worthy of a mountain stage of the Tour de France before , for only the first 150, to finish with a marathon that ends at the top of Mount Gaustatoppen, located at an altitude of 1,883 m.

The total positive elevation of this Ironman?

It is mind-blowing: 5,000 m!
