"There are 2 million workers at 6 euros, it is not tolerable. Minimum wage for young people and women", said the president of INPS (ANSA)

"We need to encourage training. Young people often enter the labor market late, as well as with low wages, because they study and thank goodness. And this must be encouraged: then we allow the free redemption of the degree for retirement purposes", proposed the president. Inps Pasquale Tridico speaking at 'Futura'.

Among other ideas for young people, Tridico also indicated the need for a "guarantee pension, especially for young people".

"The minimum wage for young people is crucial, as well as for women," said Tridico. "During the pandemic - he explained - the categories most victims were young people and women. In a woman's career, a woman with a child renounces an average salary of € 5,000 compared to a woman who has not had children. The wage gap against the male worker it is increasing and during the pandemic the first to lose jobs were young people and women. The victims of low wages are mainly young people and women ".

"Today there are over 2 million workers who work at 6 euros per hour gross. There are riders who run and make fatal accidents and earn 4 euros per hour. This is not tolerable. It is not tolerable in an advanced economy" , said the INPS president.
