TSV Jahn Freising relies on its proven leadership quintet: That is the result of the general meeting.

- The corona pandemic has also left its mark on TSV Jahn Freising: As one of the largest sports clubs in the region, it recorded around 250 more exits than in the past and at the same time more than 600 fewer entries.
The number fell from around 4,300 members at the beginning of 2020 to around 3900. That was one of the most important pieces of information at the annual general meeting on Friday.
Assembly in record time
If the most recent meeting of TSV Jahn in October was unusual because of the hygiene measures, the board decided not to wait until autumn for the annual general meeting, but to hold it online for the first time.
"Thanks go to our office with Barbara Kästner and Lena Schneider", praised club leader Franz Lupp.
In fact, the online meeting via Zoom was perfectly prepared and ran smoothly.
Despite the new elections, the annual general meeting lasted less than two hours.
"I think that was a record time," said Lupp happily.

Decline in admissions hurts
Of course, the chairman had very little to report on the past year of the association, which was mainly characterized by Corona.
If the number of members grew from 3,000 to 4,300 in the past ten years, it was reduced by 400 in times of pandemic within a year. "The fact that we had around 600 admissions less than a year ago is of course very painful," admitted he a.
"But we are doing much better than many Munich clubs." Lupp shows understanding for this development, which is by no means surprising.
"If you can't do sports at club level, fewer join a club." But he also exuded optimism: "We will fight to make it better again."
Wide range of online offers
Last year, the pandemic largely brought training and competition operations to a standstill in the 14 departments, Lupp looked back.
But the numerous functionaries and, above all, trainers have not fallen into lethargy - on the contrary.
“We fought to ensure that operations could continue.” To this end, the association has upgraded the IT area and offered members a wide range of online services.
Numerous training and exercise units are available on the Jahn website and on their own YouTube channel.
Lupp thanked everyone for their support.

New project met with little approval
Franz Lupp reported on the talks with Elisa Keidler, the new sports coordinator for the city of Freising.
In autumn she presented her project “Sport im Park” to the Freising clubs.
“That sparked a lot of discussion with us,” said Lupp.
Because the project has around 90 percent of the Jahn target group in mind.
He had therefore discussed with other clubs in Freising.
The Jahn will not actively support the project.
In the discussion with Keidler and Sebastian Wanzke, the chairman of the city association for sport, it was also about the sport development plan.
Much more urgent than a project like “Sport im Park” is, according to Lupp, the problem of the sports facility: Those responsible for the city of Freising had assured him that by 2024 all bottlenecks would be resolved.

The reports of the 14 department heads were manageable due to the Corona circumstances.
Those in charge had prepared some video clips or photos of their online activities to illustrate how the digital exercise had gone.
Among them was the Easter bunny hunt that Simon Nussstein, who is doing his voluntary social year at TSV Jahn, organized with almost 100 participants.
As positive, some division heads emphasized that the crisis had welded the members even closer together.
They cited the Jahn Challenge as an example: the departments competed against each other online in various disciplines.
Lupp also paid tribute to an athlete: the 18-year-old triathlete Niklas Ludwig was voted athlete of the year by the FT readership.
An impressive plus in the club's coffers
And another good news: Despite the Corona crisis, the finances at Jahn are correct.
Treasurer Ullrich Kuschel recorded an increase of around 137,000 euros.
The reasons are easy to explain, said Kuschel: "The pandemic has significantly reduced expenditure and the state's flat-rate fee has increased." He cannot yet estimate how things will continue.
The club is planning some costly repairs to its own hall and clubhouse.
He therefore expects a deficit for the current financial year.
That is not a bad thing, however, because TSV Jahn has built up sufficient reserves for this.
Hope for a return to normal
The new elections were purely a matter of form, because the previous five-member board was confirmed without a dissenting vote: Franz Lupp (chairman), Stephan Krippner (second chairman), Ullrich Kuschel (third chairman and treasurer), Katrin Loth (sports warden) and Ulrike Grabenweger as secretary .
Stefan Flad was also re-elected as 1st cash auditor.
In contrast, Florian Bayer is new as the second cash auditor.
Chairman Lupp now hopes that Corona will soon be over.
He would be happy if normal practice would finally return and everyone could then celebrate a big party together on the meadow next to the Jahn Hall and congratulate all long-term members.
