The police received at least two reports of suspected illegal use of fireworks and firecrackers last night, but none were found at the scene, and loud noises were heard again near the residential buildings in the early hours of the morning.

The colorful fireworks became a nuisance to the people, and the residents of Mandong Village were overwhelmed by the harassment, and they bluntly said that "they (fireworks) are scared to wake up."

At 9:27 pm, someone reported that there were fireworks from the North Lantau Highway towards the airport. Fireworks were seen from home at 10 pm. When the residents of Mandong Village reported the case, fireworks were set off at 57 points, but the police arrived at the scene and found nothing.

A member of the public said today (23) that they heard the sound of fireworks at around 2am on the Mid-Autumn Festival for two consecutive nights, and that they were set off twice in different time slots. They couldn't help but ask: "Is it true?"

As the Chinese New Year approached on January 23 last year, the police received a report that there were a number of suspicious items outside Shui Yat House, Yat Tung Estate, Tung Chung.

After the police arrived for investigation, more than 405 kilograms of suspected fireworks and firecrackers were seized on the spot. The case was classified as "Dangerous Goods Found" and the North Lantau Division officers took over and followed up.
