Tensions in Tunis on the eleventh anniversary of the 2011 Revolution. Despite the ban on anti-Covid gatherings and demonstrations, the opposition still took to the streets to protest against what they call the "coup" by President Kais Saied , however, encountering an impressive deployment of the police that prevented them from accessing the central Avenue Bourguiba, already cordoned off last night. Police today used water cannons and tear gas at Avenue Mohamed V to keep protesters from approaching beyond the barriers.
