Because of the early start of the football World Cup in Qatar, the TV stations have to reschedule.
Berlin - In any case, ZDF will broadcast the opening game between Qatar and Ecuador, which has now been postponed to November 20, as well as the previous opening ceremony.
According to the public broadcaster, the program planning on the Sunday must be changed for this.
The second also has to reschedule for the following day.
Instead of the planned four games, only three are now on the program.
Originally, the game between Senegal and the Netherlands was scheduled to take place on November 21 at 13:00 local time as the first game of the tournament.
This match is now scheduled to kick off at 7:00 p.m.
Alternating with ARD, ZDF will show 48 games from the tournament in Qatar.
All 64 games only run at Telekom via the MagentaTV payment service, 16 of which are exclusive.
This also includes games in the round of 16 and quarterfinals.
"There is enough time before the start of the World Cup to adapt our plans to the earlier date," said Deutsche Telekom.
"In the end, it's an additional live game day for the viewers on MagentaTV." dpa
