At about 10 pm today (16th), the police received a report that an 8-meter-long speedboat capsized 100 meters off Sam Mun Tsai Road, Tai Po, and 12 people and a poodle fell into the sea. The ship found it and was on the way. Rescue everyone.
In the accident, 11 men and 1 woman on board fell into the sea. Initially, 8 men and 1 woman suffered minor injuries. Later, 3 men and 1 woman were sent to Nethersole Hospital by ambulance for treatment. The accompanying poodle was certified dead at the scene.
According to sources, the 8-meter-long speedboat was carrying 11 men, 1 woman, and a poodle. All passengers were relatives and friends. At that time, the speedboat went to sea for dinner. During the period, it was suspected that it hit the surface of the sea and turned over. All the passengers on the boat fell into the sea. .
The police said that a report was received by a man surnamed Mo at 10pm that an 8-meter-long speedboat turned over after colliding with a hard object about 100 meters off the Lien Yick Pier on San Mun Tsai Road, Tai Po.
The staff arrived at the scene, and the informant assisted the staff to rescue 12 people and a dog from the sea, aged between 9 and 62 years old.
Among them, 3 male and 1 female passengers, aged between 24 and 27, were soberly sent to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital for treatment. The dog was certified dead at the scene.
