In Ivry-sur-Seine, square de la Minoterie, the bronze letters of Agnès Thurnauer invite exploration. And what a work! A snub to the austerity of reading and writing textbooks. To honor an order from the city, the artist has placed twenty letters on the paved road along the Square de la Minoterie. To honor an order from the city, the artist has placed twenty letters on the paved road along the Square de la Minoterie.

Twenty bronze consonants brushed, ground and patinated at the Fonderie Fusions in the Parc des Volcans d'Auvergne.

"It's beautiful"

, exclaim the enchanted passers-by in front of these 45 cm high forms which demand that we play with them.

The same ones that Agnès Thurnauer installed at the Musée de l'Orangerie last year and is preparing to sow at LaM in Villeneuve-d'Ascq.

"Write the story in hollow"

Large or small, they are hollow shapes: dies in which metal is poured.

Agnès Thurnauer intentionally leaves them empty: she creates nests in which to lodge whatever you want, images or words.
