Uefa threat: This is what a German EM squad looks like without a Super League player

Joachim Löw, national coach:

The Super League may also have an impact on EM.

UEFA officials have threatened that players from the clubs involved will not be allowed to take part in the tournament.

This would make the work of national coach Joachim Löw extremely difficult.

He couldn't take İlkay Gündoğan and Toni Kroos with him.

If Bayern, BVB and Paris now switch to the Super League club despite announcements to the contrary, Löw would have to improvise on the last few meters of his term in office.

On the other hand, it would be an opportunity to say thank you to old companions, to confirm or dispel eternal prejudices about yourself, and to make up for a historical fault on the part of the DFB.

Oliver Baumann, goalkeeper:

Finally hanging around in Hoffenheim is paying off.

As an okay goalkeeper in the Bundesliga, who moves through the seasons without causing any problems, Baumann is the ideal number two.

The national coach is likely to have seen him more often in Sinsheim than, for example, Ter Stegen in Barcelona.

Already fits.

Sven Ulreich, goalkeeper:

If you could be number two in Munich, you can also give number three to the national team.

The fact that Ulreich now only plays in the second division shouldn't really matter to Löw.

He once took Lukas Podolski to a major tournament as a second division player.

It is impossible that Ulreich causes similar turbulence as the last HSV goalkeeper in a tournament line-up (Uli Stein, 1986, Suppenkasper-Gate).

Robin Gosens, defense:

No Chelsea pros!

No Ilkay Gündogan from City, no Toni Kross from Real, no Marc-André ter Stegen from FC Barcelona - Löw, who has worn cosmopolitanism as a second skin in his 17 years at the DFB, suddenly has to go back to the German province for players search.

Rudy stands like no other professional for Löw's “I don't care” philosophy when it comes to executive nominations.

Someone of his Swabian co-trainers sings the candidates and when he's through, Löw says: "And we have to call Sebastian too." And then someone calls Sebastian too.
