A major cyber attack has paralyzed several government sites in Ukraine, the country's media reported today (Friday), pointing the finger of blame at crackers identified with the Kremlin.
Kiev cyber police have announced that they have launched an investigation into the attack, which has caused severe disruptions to civilian service in several areas.
Feminism left behind posts on discriminated websites, warning the Ukrainian public to "expect the worst."

A spokesman for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry issued a brief statement saying: "It is too early to jump to conclusions about the source of the attack, but Russian aggression has occurred in the past in these areas as well."
"As of this moment, the Foreign Ministry website and other diverse services have fallen. Our experts are now working on bringing the sites back into operation and the cyber police are investigating the circumstances of the hack," the Foreign Ministry statement said.
The attack comes amid unprecedented military tensions between Russia and Ukraine on Ukraine's eastern border.
150,000 Russian soldiers are stationed near the border, earlier this week they held a large armored exercise near the border.

In addition, the Russian Army's Eastern Command issued a statement on the holding of a surprise exercise aimed at preparing the army for the transfer of forces from East to West, a possible threat of further strengthening of Russian forces on the border with Ukraine.
Talks between the United States and NATO allies on Ukraine, which took place in three different rounds this week in Geneva, Vienna and Brussels, failed to narrow the gap between the parties.
