It was the first trial for ultra-right terrorism tried in France since 2017. The Paris court on Tuesday sentenced Logan Nisin, the young founder of the small group OAS, to nine years of imprisonment with continued detention.
The magistrates also found guilty five other defendants of "terrorist criminal association", pronouncing in particular an eight-year prison sentence with a committal warrant for Thomas Annequin, number 2 of the small group Organization of Social Armies.
On June 28, 2017, Logan Nisin, then aged 21, was arrested in Vitrolles (Bouches-du-Rhône).
Recorded S since 2014 for his membership in various ultra-right movements, including the Popular Movement for a New Dawn (MNPA) or the royalist organization Action Française, he notably led a group on Facebook called "Les Amis et Supporters d'Anders Behring Breivik ”, in reference to the perpetrator of the massacre that killed 77 people near Oslo, Norway in 2011.
