The federal police are currently dealing with an incident at Munich Airport.
Terminal 1 even had to be evacuated as a result.
Update August 7, 6:06 p.m .:
The federal police gave the all-clear after clearing the terminal.
The person who had entered the security area of Terminal 1 without authorization was arrested "rather quickly", said a police spokesman for the German Press Agency.
It is currently being determined why the person entered the security area.
The terminal is already completely open again.
The terminal had been searched.
However, officers found nothing suspicious.
Passengers who had already passed the security check had to be checked again after the evacuation on the way to their plane.
The police spokesman was initially unable to say to what extent flights had to be canceled or delayed due to the incident.
First report from August 7, 5:50 p.m.:
Munich – The police started clearing Terminal 1 at Munich Airport on Sunday afternoon.
There was a "security incident" there, the federal police wrote on Twitter.
One person had "unauthorized access to the security area".

A little later, the federal police announced via Twitter that the first areas of the terminal would “open again in the next few minutes”.
Further details were not initially known.
