Since Thursday, two funeral directors, 39 and 44 years old, have been charged with irregularities in tombs in Frankfurt cemeteries at the Frankfurt District Court.
According to the indictment, in nine cases they used forged letterheads and forged signatures at the Frankfurt Green Space Office to give the impression that it was a stonemason company that was entitled to request the erection of the tombstones.

In court, both defendants had declared that they had not manufactured and signed the forged letterhead.
For this reason, a proposal by the public prosecutor's office to discontinue the proceedings against a monetary payment was also rejected.
Instead, the court now wants to hear a number of witnesses and has therefore suspended the process until February next year.
