British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Tuesday evening appointed his Minister of Education, Nadhim Zahawi, as Finance Minister, from whom Rishi Sunak resigned with a bang a few hours earlier.
Boris Johnson's services said Queen Elizabeth II had approved the appointment of Nadhim Zahawi.
The Iraqi-born Kurd arrived in the UK with his family without speaking a word of English, and went on to pursue a lucrative career in business.
