(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 17 - Scena Unita, the solidarity fund born from the will of the artists to support the workers of the show affected by the stop to the activities due to the pandemic, makes an initial assessment. Eight months after its birth - on input from Fedez which involved dozens of colleagues - it raised 4 million 780 thousand euros.
154 artists, 113 brands, plus important financiers such as Intesa San Paolo and Amazon Prime have joined the project. Fund management was entrusted to Cesvi, supported by Musica che gira and Music Innovation Hub.
To date, 1 million 601 thousand euros have been disbursed to 1601 workers, 251 thousand euros to sole proprietors and 2.5 million projects for restarting (77 of the 106 approved projects have already been financed with half of the available funds).
"With Scena Unita we raised almost 5 million, we could have done more, but it is an incredible result if you think of an artists' motorbike", comments Fedez, adding that the initiative "was born from the idea that every artist could exploit his brands and try to join forces to bring as much money as possible into an incubator ". The singer, however, then underlined how the confrontation with the institutions has not led to the reform of the sector, which has long been requested.
"So far we have not been heard, but it is an opportunity that we do not want to miss. The term 'institutions' is ethereal and connectable to a ministry, that of Culture, and to a minister, Dario Franceschini. So I address him directly: we need less propaganda and more pragmatism. . We must do what we are told to do, without being proven wrong. And it would be an excellent start if the funding did not go only to the usual circle of foundations and theaters ". Then Fedez added that Scena Unita will not stop at least until October, when it will have accompanied all the approved projects. "It was quite complex for me, even on a psychological level, but Scena Unita will continue to live in some way. However, I will open my own foundation to carry out other projects as well". (HANDLE).
