This is what residents of the roof of Pavilion 6, just renovated at the Parc des Expositions de Paris, can see since this summer.
Ultimately, it will be nearly 14,000 m² of agricultural land, with spaces available for rental, that Viparis, the site manager, will have installed in the heart of Paris.
Either the largest urban farm in the world.
This urban agriculture project, installed by Agripolis (400,000 euros in turnover) is a showcase of the different techniques tested to try to bring agriculture back to the heart of cities.
A project that has mobilized for a decade hundreds of new urban farmers to compensate for the finitude of traditional agricultural land, while being more virtuous from an environmental point of view, and less greedy in synthetic inputs.
