(ANSA) - WASHINGTON, MAY 7 - The US is asking to restore Taiwan's presence in the world health assembly, the WHO legislative body that will meet from May 24. A move that could spark Chinese reactions.
"There is no reasonable justification for continuing Taiwan's exclusion from this forum, and the US is asking the director general of the World Health Organization to invite Taiwan to participate as an observer, as in previous years, before China's objections were registered," Secretary of State Antony Blinken said.
