The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has warned that Covid 19 can spread through airborne particles that may remain suspended in the air and travel more than six feet.
The guidelines that were updated and published on the centers' website, according to Reuters, recommended that people use air purifiers to reduce germs in the air indoors to avoid the spread of disease.
Viruses in the air are among the most contagious, and the centers have warned that poorly ventilated places increase the risk of spread.
Studies have shown that the Coronavirus can spread in the air, while the World Health Organization said it is monitoring (emerging evidence) of possible transmission through the air.
The centers said earlier that the virus mainly spreads from person to person through droplets when a patient coughs, sneezes or speaks.
