Wall Street's major indices opened lower today at a bleak start to the second half of the year as investors worried about economic growth being hurt.
Reuters reported that the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell at the open 37.66 points, or 0.12 percent, to 30,737.77 points, the Standard & Poor's 500 index opened, down 4.38 points, or 0.12 percent, to 3,781.00 points, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 21.90 points, or 0.20 percent, to 11,106.83 points.
