The US Supreme Court has rejected President Joe Biden's administration's plan to require employees of large corporations to be vaccinated or wear face masks and undergo weekly tests for the Corona virus.
The BBC reported that the judges of the country's Supreme Court stated that the plan exceeded the authority of the Biden administration, and the court's decision came with a vote of six judges against three others.
The plan was supposed to be implemented in workplaces in companies with at least 100 employees and reached about 84 million workers and was designed on the basis that employers would implement it.
Opponents of the plan, including governors of several Republican states and some business groups, said the administration overstepped its authority with requirements introduced last November and faced legal challenges once it was put forward.
