(ANSA) - NEW YORK, JUN 18 - A former policeman leads the prime minister for the chair for mayor of New York among the democratic candidates.
This was revealed by a survey by the New York Post according to which Eric Adams, current president of the municipality of Brooklyn, has more than 21% of the preferences, followed by two women, Maya Wiley, former consultant to current Mayor Bill deBlasio, with 16.5% and Kathryn Garcia, former urban cleaning executive with 16.2%.
Wiley also has the support of progressive MP Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
AndrewYang, a former presidential candidate, has only 9.6% of the votes.
The early voting for the primary to be held on June 22 has already begun. At the moment, less than 2% of those entitled have voted. There are three million and 600,000 registered Democratic voters and 500,000 Republicans in New York. (HANDLE).
