The party ended at the start of the morning, around 8:30 a.m. 500 people gathered, during the night from Saturday to Sunday, for a clandestine techno evening on a former site of the Conforama stores in Vélizy-Villacoublay (Yvelines), near BA 107 air base.
The police, however, made the decision to let the party take place.
The sound equipment was not seized and no arrests took place.
According to our information, PCR tests were requested at the entrance of the evening by the organizers.
"The site is a completely abandoned ruin"
Contacted, the mayor (LR) of the city Pascal Thévenot indicates that the municipal and national police present have not noted any nuisance outside the site.
The elected official “cannot file a complaint against the organizers of the evening since it is private property”.
However, he intends to file a complaint against the owner of the premises for endangering the lives of others.
"The site is a completely derelict ruin which has already suffered two fires", he said.
This is not the first time that an underground party has been organized at this location.
In April 2019, 1,500 “chirps” gathered in the former Conforama store after a call launched on social networks.
Again, the police had decided not to intervene.
